Who we are

About Us

The Boujee Ink is a luxury custom tattoo studio in Bali. Small team, private room, and a rule we don't break: nothing goes on skin until the drawing is right.

Our story

Built around the drawing,
not the schedule.

The Boujee Ink started the way most good studios do — one artist, a lot of hours, and a stubborn refusal to hand someone a design they hadn't seen before the machine came on.

That's still how we run. We take fewer clients than we could. Consultations are unhurried and free. If your idea needs three rounds of drawing before it sits right on your arm, it gets three rounds of drawing. And if we think a piece won't age well — too fine, too crowded, wrong placement — you'll hear it from us before you pay for it.

Bali brings us people from everywhere: travellers marking a trip, locals finishing a sleeve they started years ago, couples getting their first. The brief is different every time. The standard isn't.

What we're known for.

Black & Grey

Deep, smooth shading and real contrast — the work that holds up ten years in. Dragons, portraits, full backs and sleeves built in stages.

Fine Line

Delicate single-needle work for small pieces and lettering. Clean enough to be quiet, solid enough to still read years later.

Cover-ups & Rework

Old tattoo you've outgrown? Bring it in. We'll tell you honestly what can be covered, what needs lightening first, and what it will take.

Our standards

Clean, quiet, careful.

Every client gets a fresh set-up: single-use needles and tubes opened in front of you, new grips, new ink caps, barrier film on every surface we touch. Everything reusable is sterilised, not just wiped.

We tattoo adults only — 18+, no exceptions, ID checked. We won't tattoo anyone who's been drinking, and we'll happily rebook you instead. You'll leave with written aftercare and a direct line to the studio for the whole healing period.

Touch-ups on healed work are free — just message us.

Visiting the studio

Before you sit down.

How do I book?

Send a DM to @theboujeeink_bali with your idea, placement, rough size and the dates you're in Bali. We'll reply with availability and a quote. A deposit secures the date and comes off the final price.

Can I bring my own design?

Yes — plenty of our best pieces started as a client's own drawing. We'll redraw it to work with the shape of your body and show you before we start.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on size, detail and how many sessions it needs. Small pieces are priced per piece; sleeves and large work are priced per session. You'll always get the number before you commit — no surprises at the end.

How should I prepare?

Eat properly, sleep, drink water, and skip alcohol the night before. Wear something that gives easy access to the area. Bring headphones — long sessions are long.

Can I swim afterwards?

Not for two weeks. It's the hardest rule to follow in Bali and the one that ruins the most fresh tattoos. Ocean, pool and rice-field water all carry infection risk while you're healing.

Do you tattoo under 18s?

No. 18+ only, with photo ID, regardless of parental permission.
